This is a communal website, open to the entire Jewish community, and to all who are interested in Jewish topics. It is a not-for-profit venture, aimed at enhancing Jewish living. It is provided as a courtesy of The Shengold Jewish Encyclopedia, a favorite one-volume sourcebook on everything Jewish since 1957. One of the more profound adages of Judaism is: "Who is a wise person? He who learns from everyone." Through this website, the Shengold encyclopedia takes on a new life by becoming totally interactive, allowing everyone to contribute to this site for the benefit of all.

Looking for information on a Jewish subject?

Enter the subject in the Search field on the left and click Go. For a more detailed search click Search.

Want to contribute information on any Jewish topic?

Enter the subject in the Search field on the left. If the subject already exists, you can click on edit and add information at the bottom. If it does not exist, you will be prompted to create the new entry. After you enter you text, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
